About Andrew Horowitz

Andrew was raised in Warren, New Jersey, and is the only member of Tally Hall not from the Detroit suburbs. He attended the Pingry School, which eventually played host to Tally Hall's first non-Midwest shows. He lived with Rob Cantor during their sophomore year at the University of Michigan, which led to them playing music together and eventually playing Tally Hall's first show in 2002, along with Zubin Sedghi. Andrew double majored in Composition and English, and graduated in 2005. While in college, he won multiple Hopwood Awards for fiction and poetry, as well as the prestigious BMI John Lennon Scholarship for Good Day in 2004.[1] He provided the soundtrack to Joe Hawley's 2005 thesis film, The Other Way. After Tally Hall, Andrew remained in New York City working as a successful producer, songwriter, and session musician. He's contributed to recordings by John Legend, VÉRITÉ, and Ella Eyre, as well as working with Rob on songs and videos from Not A Trampoline. In 2012, Andrew released a cassette of original music under the name edu (pronounced ee-doo), and played solo shows around New York throughout 2012 and 2013. On July 1, 2014, he appeared with Rob Cantor in a video titled "29 Celebrity Impressions, 1 Original Song", performing their song "Perfect". A week later, Cantor released a making-of video, demonstrating that his impressions were a hoax done through audio and video editing, and in fact featured 11 different impressionists.[2] In May 2020, Horowitz started a weekly Instagram Livestream series titled Keep Up The Good Work, where he has one or two guests on each stream. A few of these guests have included Tally Hall alumni, such as members Ross and Zubin
