Her passion quickly transitioned to local and National commercials, PSA's and over the years has held guest star, principal, and actor roles in both film and television. Emerson is most known for her actor and guest star roles on the hit CBC sketch comedy show This Hour Has 22 Minutes for season's 26, 27, 28, and 29. Additional credits for MacNeil include her first singing role on a tv series as Ash Lanier for The Sinner, and in 2022 had the fun opportunity to be cast in the hit tv series Moonshine. MacNeil has also held a lead role in a short film called Not My Children, a supporting role in a short film called Around Me and a principal role for the highly anticipated award winning feature film The Queen Of My Dreams. This summer Emerson had fun on Beechwood Island playing Bonnie Sheffield Sinclair in the highly anticipated tv series based on the book We Were Liars coming to Prime in 2025! MacNeil continues to be passionate about the TV & film industry; loves writing, learning new dialects and enjoys every moment on set. In addition to her love of acting, MacNeil loves to travel, enjoys writing, singing, stage combat, swimming, horse back riding, downhill skiing, jazz dance, biking, paddling and rollerblading. You will also find her playing with her friends or just spending time with her dog and family.
