ActingAbout Hawk Meisenbach
Hawk Meisenbach was introduced early in life to the world of performing arts, beginning with violin, dance and acting when he was 3. He was in a choir for several years and took private voice lessons all through his middle school years. He decided he wanted to be an actor after he played the role of Conrad Birdie in the musical theatre production of "Bye Bye Birdie" when he was 12. He signed with an agent within about 6 months and became eligible to join SAG just a year and a half after he made the decision to become an actor. Having coached and taken workshops with some of the most experienced teachers and coaches in the industry, including the renowned Fine Arts Center in Greenville, SC, he was a member of the Adliberation Troupe (an improv troupe) at the South Carolina Children's Theatre and coaches privately for film acting. He studies voice (Baritenor) with Furman University professor Dr. Craig Price. He enjoys playing a wide range of characters, from the quirky, nerdy kid or troubled teen, to the love interest or smart aleck. One of his favorite things to do is to make people laugh, and he's been told that he has the comedic timing of a pro. A natural story teller, he looks forward to playing a comedic character as much as he enjoys diving into a gritty dramatic piece. His other interests include Martial Arts, Weight Lifting, Rapping, Horseback riding, Jet-ski, Boating, Dogs, Chess, Mythology, Astronomy, Asking Random Questions, Philosophy, and hanging out with friends.
