About Hisao Kubota

Kubota Hisao was a Japanese child actor, born in July 1909 in Asakusa, Tokyo. His father was Tokitaro Kurihara, a traveling comedian. In 1921, he joined Shochiku Studios as an actor. He was known for Kyôdai (1923), Haha o yobu koe (1925) and Musasabî no sankichi (1927). His final film was released in 1929. After World War II, he is said to have worked in a rental studio. His death, sometime before 1979, came by suicide.
