About Isaac Ensel

Isaac Ensel is a documentarian and political science double major from Bath, Maine. Last fall Isaac volunteered with The Village at Ithaca where he helped teach students about documentary filmmaking. He also co-directed a short film that was centered around students of color in the Ithaca area that focused on a more community-centered approach to education. Additionally, Isaac used his media and marketing skills to create videos and take photos for the non-profit Storyhouse Ithaca which works to help share important and diverse stories. This year, Isaac is continuing his work with The Village at Ithaca, where he is helping local students create an audio project, Restoring Voices. Isaac also plans to work with Ithaca Welcomes Refugees and to teach graphic design skills (remotely) to students in Bath, Maine. As the drone squad president last fall, he helped plan the 50th reunion video for the Park School. In the spring while Isaac studied in Spain, he became curious about local farming. He created a documentary showcasing Basque and Irish shepherds and their struggles in a changing industry. His passion for media and community draws him to take on projects that he believes can better our society by learning about the lives of others.
