About John M. Russell

John Russell is an actor who expresses depth and subtlety with every performance. While studying abroad in Ghana years ago, John discovered his passion for acting. He accompanied a friend to a soap opera audition in the capital city of Accra and was asked to audition for a role by the director. John landed the role and he made his acting debut on a show that aired in various West African countries and in France. After graduating from the University of Southern California with degrees in Broadcast Journalism and Political Science, John appeared in numerous theatrical productions in his hometown of Chicago. After a few years of honing his craft and gaining theatrical experience, John returned to Los Angeles. He has since starred in various international and domestic independent films, local commercials, national commercials, international commercials, television shows and web series.
