He was born on March 5, 1952, in the village of Ulguli, Aksu District, Taldykorgan Region. From 1969 to 1973, he studied at the Acting Department of the Kurmangazy Almaty State Conservatory. Since 1973, he has been an actor at the Kazakh State Academic Theater for Children and Youth named after G. Musrepov, where he has performed in around 100 roles. Since 1980, he has also been an actor in the comedy theater Tamasha.
