Jill Gillespie, or Lady Jill, is a director, editor, and screenwriter, having worked in all stages of audiovisual production, from development to post-production. Goddaughter to Boca do Lixo muse Débora Munhyz and described by her as a "Mojican" filmmaker in memory of late horror master José Mojica Marins, she has a taste and sensitivity for exploring LGBTQ+ themes in genre stories, mainly horror, action, and comedy. She began her career writing for the YouTube channels "Pipocando" and "Bunka Pop" and from there, her trajectory includes the advertising agency Fósforo Filmes, the editing house Olho de Coruja, and Japanese-Brazilian distributor and production company Sato Company.
