He is best known for his distinguished theatrical career in which he twice won the Tony Award for Best Actor In A Musical (for Redhead and Man of La Mancha). Kiley was also nominated for nine Emmy Awards, winning four, including for his roles on the series The Thorn Birds, A Year in the Life, and Picket Fences. Kiley is also remembered for his voice role as the tour guide in Jurassic Park (1993).
