Alexander Rivera is an American director, writer, and producer born in Orlando, Florida. His early fascination with popular movie franchises sparked a deep interest in filmmaking. While attending Florida State University with the intention of pursuing medical school, Rivera began creating a series of short films, immersing himself in the world of cinema. Balancing his academic ambitions with his growing passion for film, Rivera discovered that his art could connect with and inspire audiences in ways similar to his original goal of helping others through medicine. His dedication to crafting impactful stories reflects this dual pursuit of purpose. After completing five short films, Alexander Rivera took a bold leap into feature filmmaking. With the support of family, friends, and dedicated collaborators, he directed his debut feature, "Retrospection," less than a year after his first short. Drawing inspiration from Christopher Nolan, Rivera crafted a complex, non-linear narrative on a modest $2,500 budget. The project, though challenging, was brought to life through the perseverance and dedication of the team. As "Retrospection" prepares to be submitted to film festivals worldwide, Rivera looks to the future with optimism and ambition, eager to continue his journey in filmmaking.
