Amanzhol Tolybayevich Aituarov (Kazakh: Аманжол Толыбаевич Айтуаров; born in 13 June 1957; Alma-Ata) is a Soviet and Kazakh film director and screenwriter. He is considered one of the pioneers of the Kazakh New Wave. Graduated from the directing department of VGIK (master of Yu. I. Ozerov, 1986). In 1989, he shot the first full-length feature film "Touch". Since 2000 - Head of the workshops of Film and TV directors of the T. Zhurgenov National Academy of Arts.
