Anita Monteiro

Anita Monteiro Cavalcanti Neiva is stepping into a new chapter as a filmmaker and an emerging artist finding their voice. Born in Brazil and now based in Montreal, Anita is studying Film at Concordia University, chasing a lifelong love for telling important stories and weird dreams. After years of experimenting with short films and visual language, they co-directed their first feature-length film (Caio, 2024) with creative partner Clar Kowarick. The duo is now in the midst of crafting their latest project, 180, a film that reflects their evolving style and shared vision. With every frame, Anita continues to explore what it means to grow, create, and come of age—on and off screen.
