About Beverly Shade

Beverly Shade was an American professional wrestler, active from the 1950s to the 1980s. She made her mark in the NWA, winning the Women’s Tag Team Championship in 1978 and becoming a two-time All-Star Wrestling Women’s Champion. She began her career in 1957 and became known as "The Hammer." She was married to fellow wrestler Billy Blue River, with whom she formed the mixed tag team Beverly Two River. She passed away on June 2, 2023, at the age of 87, due to complications from lung cancer.
