Alongside her drum playing skills with the Boredoms, she also performs on the vocals for OOIOO and also plays trumpets, guitars and keyboards as well. Born in Okayama, Japan, Yoshimi joined her first band, U.F.O. or Die, with Yamatsuka Eye in 1986.
