Nach Engagements in Graz und Brünn spielte Bosse nach dem Zweiten Weltkrieg am Bürgertheater (als Dr. Zögel in der „Fiakermilli" erhielt er seine erste große Rolle in Wien), danach zehn Jahre am Volkstheater und schließlich am Theater in der Josefstadt und an den Kammerspielen. Bosse gab durch seine bescheiden-vornehme Gestaltung jeder Aufführung seine persönliche Note, spielte unter anderem Schnitzler und Fry und arbeitete erfolgreich beim Film.
