About Chingiz Mustafayev

Chingiz Fuad oglu Mustafayev was a Soviet Azerbaijani civilian and military journalist who made a significant contribution to the development of national television. He collaborated with a number of foreign news agencies and authored numerous reports from the Nagorno-Karabakh war zone, including the famous report from the site of the Khojaly massacre. A physician by profession, he was awarded the title of National Hero of Azerbaijan (posthumously in 1992).
