About Cynthia L. Leon

Cynthia (Cindy) is an award-winning Christian Director/Producer that started in theatre some 35 years ago. She has written and directed four original theatre plays over the past six years. Cindy felt the calling to go into film acting at a very early age. Her love for movies developed into a passion for writing by the age of nine. Ater studying acting in Los Angeles in 1989, her love for film later expanded to writing and directing. Cindy completed her first screenplay in 2011. She was inspired to bring the vision to life, and signed on the actors and crew to begin filming The Basement in July 2012. The Basement went on to win 7 Aletheia Truth Awards; including Best Drama.
