In 1989, he enrolled in the acting faculty of the Almaty State Institute of Theatre and Cinema, graduating with honors in 1993 with a degree in "Actor of Dramatic Theatre and Cinema" (under the guidance of People's Artist of Kazakhstan, Professor Tungyshbay Jamankulov). Since 1993, he has been a member of the troupe at the Kazakh State Academic Drama Theatre named after Mukhtar Auezov.
