About Ezgi Temel

Ezgi Temel was born in 1996 in Bursa, Turkey. She studied Cinema and Television at Mimar Sinan University of Fine Arts. Since 2018, she has worked primarily as an assistant director in the advertising industry, gaining the opportunity to collaborate closely with numerous local and international directors. She has continued to create independent short films since her first short, Babaanne (2017), which was supported by the Turkish Ministry of Culture and Tourism. In addition, she is passionate about storytelling and poetry, aiming to craft emotionally resonant characters in cinema that leave a lasting impression on audiences. Growing up in a world immersed in art, literature, and music, Ezgi values enriching her filmmaking through interdisciplinary influences. In her free time, she enjoys spending time with her cats, listening to music, and exploring ideas for new projects.
