Rey Fénix is a Mexican luchador enmascarado (masked professional wrestler) currently signed to WWE. He began his wrestling career in 2007 on the Mexican independent circuit under the ring name Máscara Oriental, wrestling in Puebla, Pachuca, and Querétaro. He is best known for his time in All Elite Wrestling (AEW) and Lucha Libre AAA Worldwide (AAA), where he was a AAA World Tag Team Champion, as well as for his tenure in Mexican promotions AAA and Consejo Mundial de Lucha Libre (CMLL), and in American promotions Ring of Honor (ROH), Major League Wrestling (MLW), Impact Wrestling, AAW Wrestling, and Pro Wrestling Guerrilla (PWG). Rey Fénix is also recognized as one-half of the acclaimed tag team the Lucha Brothers alongside his elder brother, Penta, and has competed under the names Fénix and King Phoenix.
