He was an early member of Cheek By Jowl theatre company, completing 5 tours over 3 years and was part of the Olivier Award winning cast in their first London season of 3 plays at the Donmar Warehouse. Other theatre highlights included Puck in A Midsummer Night's Dream and Benvolio in Romeo & Juliet in Regent's Park, Richard II in Two Planks and a Passion in York, Jake in Serious Money and Jack in The Importance of Being Earnest at Manchester Library. An eight year break from acting took in publishing and illustrating. Returning at 40, Andrew worked in seasons at the Nuffield, Southampton and Bristol's Tobacco Factory for Show of Strength and Shakespeare at the Tobacco Factory (notably in Chekhov's Three Sisters as Kulygin) and a critically acclaimed performance as Erpingham in Orton's The Erpingham Camp (with Johnny Vegas) at the Liverpool Everyman and the Assembly Rooms in Edinburgh. More recently, Andrew has worked extensively in radio drama, as a presenter and voice artist particularly through the inimitable agency.
