Upon his return, he started a prolific career as a film director, making famous acclaimed art house films, including “Al Mostahil” (The Impossible), “Al Bostagy” (The Postman), and “Tharthara Fawq Alnil” (Blabbering Over the Nile). He died in 2003 at the age of 69.
