Jam Murphy, born Jamie Alexandra Murphy, is an American model, actress, writer and producer known for Through The Modern Looking Glass (2024), Target (2023) and upcoming films Red Camellia & Fugitive From Asteron. She was awarded Best Actress for her role as Heidi in Through The Modern Looking Glass at the world renowned Florence Film Festival, Chicago Film Festival as well as for Beautiful Catastrophe at the Citrus Circuit Film Festival in 2024. Originally from Ashtabula, Ohio with a background in dance and athletics, Jam now primarily resides in NYC with a love for both comedic and dramatic storytelling. She trained at The Lee Strasberg Theater & Film Institute as well as with renowned acting coach Anthony Abeson and is a member of The Actor's Gym, lead by Academy Award winning writer/ director Bobby Moresco. She also works as an actress for the PDU at The Actor's Studio in New York, work-shopping plays in progress. In Addition to modeling and acting, Jam is a songwriter and founder of Jingle Jam, an annual fund-raising event featuring musical acts benefiting The Bowery Mission of NYC. The Bowery Mission provides food, shelter, clothing and medical assistance to the homeless and victims of domestic violence. Jingle Jam was founded in December 2019 and takes place at The Cutting Room in New York City. Jam's early career includes on-air hosting for Clear Channel Radio in Ohio before moving to Los Angeles where she was scouted by one of the world's leading modeling agency's, Wilhelmina Models. She went on to become one of the most in demand models in the industry being featured as the face of brands such as The GAP, Champion, PUMA & Reebok as well as appearing on the cover of Women's Health Magazine. She has also been featured in SHAPE, Cosmopolitan, SELF & Fitness Magazine's. In addition, Jam is known for her roles in Shaun T's workout DVD's produced by Beachbody International; T25 & Insanity; The Asylum. After her 8th year of modeling she felt her full potential could only be accessed if she started to use her voice and decided to pursue her longtime dream of acting. Continuing her evolution as an artist, Jam is currently writing her first feature film screenplay.
