Additionally, his comedy-drama pilot, "Withstanding the Heat," achieved longlisting status in the BBC Writers Room and All 3 Media New Comedy Voices competitions. His short film pitch, "Pops," was also shortlisted for the BBC Comedy Short Form Development Fund, showcasing his versatility and creativity. In 2023, Jay was named an associate artist of B3 Media after being selected for the B3 Media Origins development and mentoring program.
