After being selected for the Pia Film Festival three years in a row, 1985 to 1987, he began to direct adult-experimental-video in 1990. Yumika, the first Hokkaido-bike-trip film, had its theatrical debut in 1997. Encyclopedia of a Drifter, the second in the bike-trip series came out in 1998. The White, finished in 1999, concludes the three part bike-trip series.
