Ribeiro began his acting career in 1981 with *Eros, the God of Love*, also directed by Khouri, and later appeared in *Sin Horizontal*. After stepping away from acting, he transitioned to behind-the-scenes work as a film production assistant, studying photography and establishing a small studio. In 2007, he briefly returned to the screen in the pornographic film *Estranho Amor*, directed by J. Gaspar for Brasileirinhas. Currently, Marcelo works as a technical and computer instructor for a multinational company and runs a personal website to showcase his work.
