Her debut came in 1977 with the TV drama series "Ichiban Hoshi," but she had to withdraw from her leading role due to health issues. She also faced other setbacks, including being cast for the role of Garasha in the film "Makai Tensho" (魔界転生, 1981) and dropping out due to illness. However, Takase continued to build her career with notable roles, such as portraying a young wife indulging in a lesbian relationship in the film "Manji", depicting the tragic double suicide of Dazai Osamu and Tomie Yamazaki in the Nikkatsu Roman Porno film "Musashino Shinju" (武蔵野心中, 1983), and starring alongside Tsutomu Yamazaki in Juzo Itami's directorial debut, "The Funeral" (お葬式, 1984).
