Peter Ross Newman is an American film producer and educator. He attended Northwestern University and began his producing career in the 1980s. Newman has been married to casting director and filmmaker Antonia Dauphin since 1988, and is the father of actors Griffin Newman and James Newman. As of 2022, he is an associate professor at New York University, teaching courses at both the Tisch School of the Arts and the Stern School of Business; in 2008, he was named the first head of a dual MFA-MBA program, which the university describes as the first of its kind in the United States.
