Leroy lived mostly in Italy since the 1960s and worked extensively in Italian cinema, as well as in his native country. He was sometimes credited under his full name. He died, aged 93, in Rome on 1st June 2024 His daughter is the actress Philippine Leroy-Beaulieu.
