She emigrated to Israel with her mother in the 1950s and began acting at the Cameri Theatre, performing in Yiddish. In the 1980s she moved to the United States and appeared on television series including Quincy M.E., St. Elsewhere, and Cagney & Lacey. Her film credits from that period include Daniel (1983), Amadeus (1984), The Deliberate Stranger (1986), and Lady in White (1988). She won the Israeli Film Academy’s Best Actress award for Laura Adler’s Last Love Affair (1990). Her later roles include Mrs. Moskowitz and the Cats (2009) and Eleanor the Great (2025).
