About Scott Duthie

Scott Duthie brings a myriad of talents to the producer role on "September Dawn." An established producer and director of live action and animation, Duthie is devoted to staying on the forefront of the technological revolution in the production of film and television. Duthie began his career as a marketing technical consultant and creative director in Seattle, Washington, supervising projects for many Fortune 500 Companies including Microsoft, Nintendo, Boeing, Purina, Hallmark and United Parcel Service. An alumnus of the American Film Institute with a postgraduate degree in Motion Picture Production Design, Duthie has been a key member of the creative teams for several popular Emmy Award winning shows, such as "Buffy The Vampire Slayer," "Tracey Takes On," "The Rockford Files," and "The Magnificent Seven." His film and television credits encompass a wide range of studio productions including "Bedazzled," "Dante's Peak," "Cruel Intentions," "The Patriot," "Timecop," "Touched By An Angel," "Leave It To Beaver," "L.A. Firefighters," "The Hand That Rocks The Cradle," "Heat Vision And Jack," "Sleepless In Seattle," and "Temptation Island." Scott has also produced many nationally successful commercials and promotional spots for Reebok, Pontiac, Visa, Verizon, along with ABC and CBS Network promos. He has also lent his expertise to music videos from The Backstreet Boys, Red Hot Chili Peppers, The Donnas, Mel C, Joe Cocker, Ice Cube, Snoop Dogg, Smashmouth, Tal Bachman, REM, Citizen King, Five For Fighters, Toni Braxton, Kelly Clarkson, Anastacia, and Ben Moody. From January 1999 until February of 2001, Duthie served as Vice President in Charge of Production for a state of the art digital facility under the direction of "September Dawn" director Christopher Cain. Currently, Duthie is directing and producing the animated feature film "Firedog," starring Lauren Bacall, Tom Arnold, Nia Peeples, Tom Berenger, Tony Danza, Michael Madsen, Danny Bonaduce, William Katt, Beverly D'angelo, Burt Young, Brett Butler, and Dean Cain. He most recently served as producer for the indie feature film, "River's End," with director/actor William Katt; starring Sam Huntington (Superman Returns), Barry Corbin, and Charles Durning. Duthie was also second unit director for the new BBC series "Wild West" which recently aired on the History Channel. Always eager to expand his creative and technical knowledge, Scott has been exploring advanced imaging technology and continues to break new ground in high definition. Duthie pioneered the first Retro-Integration Technology Division for 20th Century Fox Studios.
