About Sean Flanagan

Sean Flanagan was a British actor known for his work on British television. He was best known for playing Matt the stable boy ghost in The Ghosts of Motley Hall (1976-78). He played Bitzer in two episodes of the TV series Hard Times (1977). He had many guest appearances in several British TV shows from the 1960s to the 1970s including Look and Read (1967-2004), Whatever Happened to the Likely Lads? (1973-1974), The Liver Birds (1969-1996), The Nearly Man (1974-1975), The Sunday Drama (1977-1978). He appeared in four episodes of the TV series Coronation Street (1960), where he played multiple characters including Charlie, Bernie Marsh and Rodney Smith. He also appeared in three episodes of the TV series Z-Cars where he also played multiple characters including Chris Coles, First Youth and Roy Grant. Flanagan tragically died in a Road Accident on 27 June 1981 at the young age of only 23.
