Of German origin, he belonged to the second generation of students at the School of Dramatic Art, Sérgio was one of the founders of the Brazilian Comedy Theater. With just over a hundred appearances, he is the second Brazilian actor to have the most films on his CV, behind only Wilson Gray (more than 180). In the 1970s, he participated in several films in the pornochanchada genre.
