ActingAbout Tyler Lito
Tyler Lito, born and raised in Toronto Canada, has always had a passion for performing. His mother, a German Romani classic film collector, and his father, an Irish Italian-American rock and roll singer, instilled in him a love for the arts. He unintentionally began his acting career while in film school, performing in his classmates' projects, which led to dropping out to pursue acting full time. He started off working in the Locations and Set PA departments for the Directors Guild of Canada union on Tier-A films and TV shows where he was able to observe some of Hollywoods true great actors and filmmakers. After signing with Hero Artists Agency (Toronto / Vancouver / NY) his first credits came from his driving background in Pro-am Drifting (DMCC) and as an Audi Sport Specialist (Audi AG), shooting car commercials and chase scenes as a precision driver before finding a home in front of the camera as a dramatic actor. Tyler’s fist-ever professional credit was the stunt driver and body double for Grant Bowler in a green-screen car chase in the pilot episode of Defiance on SyFy. He has since established himself as an indie writer/producer specializing in car chases and car centric content for film and TV via his production company Driven Pictures, but his man focus remains acting. Nonetheless his expertise behind the wheel combined with his undeniable acting chops has given him a reputation as a “poor man’s Paul Walker”.
