Critic Reviews for Alien Autopsy
'Alien Autopsy' is probably better than it had any right to be. With that said, I can't honestly class this as good. I wouldn't actually say the plot and its pacing is bad, but there isn't enough to it to entertain. It does, however, have the novelty of Ant & Dec as leads. Those two, in case you didn't know, are big time television presenters over here in the United Kingdom, like truly household names. Growing up, I knew they had done some acting with this 2006 release and had seens bits of it on the tele many years back. Good to finally see it all. It is, as noted at the top, better than I would've predicted, especially knowing that it was the two's first (and last) foray into acting. Declan Donnelly is actually an alright actor, Anthony McPartlin not quite so much but the former is serviceable for this sorta movie. Bill Pullman appears for star involvement, as does Harry Dean Stanton. Omid Djalili appears as well, he is a comedian I like. Jimmy Carr was too once upon a time, he has a bit part here. Götz Otto's character is the weakest part of this film, which is unfortunate for the German. Fascinating to learn about the true story that this flick is based upon. You gotta respect the hustle of Ray Santilli and Gary Shoefield, to be honest.
