Critic Reviews for Bula
The screenwriters Bobby Bonifacio Jr. and YuviGalamiton did not create a particularly exciting or interesting plot. Sure, Bula was watchable, but that's about it. The storyline was sluggish, pardon the pun in this bland erotic movie, and nothing exciting or interesting happened, and the character gallery was rather one-dimensional. I wasn't familiar with the cast of "Bula," but I will say that the lead actress, Ayanna Misola (Meldy), certainly had some acting talent and she played well and held the movie together despite not having much material to work with. I didn't find "Bula" very entertaining in terms of entertainment. And it's definitely not a movie I would recommend to fans of Asian cinema. As for the fact that it is a thriller, no, don't get your hopes up.
