Critic Reviews for L.A. Wars
I think this movie is pretty cool. We get some ex-cop played by a Canadian kickboxing champion who goes undercover as a bodyguard after he saves some babe who turns out to be the daughter of a mob boss. Lots of fights and gunfights that feel well choreographed. The chick isn't totally useless either, she helps in ways that you'd expect someone to help. It's got a good soundtrack and the audio balancing seems good to me. There's a story in there about a drug war and a Mafia power struggle but mostly you're going to be watching this for the fights.
