So,I went into watching this film with complete transparency, as well as being open minded...It started off rather slow, not much to be valued by any of the actors/actresses.It does get better, though just enough to want to see it through its'entirety. The film definitely resonates deep, brooding darkness and that's a nice change of pace for the former "Sharknado" director,no pun intended...All in all, you could definitely do worse, compared to related horror movies,as of late.🤘😎
This is the single most disjointed movie I have seen. I watch a lot of B-tier horror movies and I enjoy low budget and even film-class productions. I'm no perfectionist or snob by any means. But I legitimately had to force myself to sit through this one. The acting is terrible and the characters are unlikable. The dialogue is just comically bad. The scene jumps and changes between locations are horrendous. The story is just absolutely nonsensical and yet manages to utilize every cheap horror movie trope under the sun. I usually try to include something positive in a bad review but it's just straight up impossible here. It just sucks. Big time. Only watch this if you are into bad movies. Because in this case this one might be an actual gem.
Innocent enough intro, except for the prank by one of our quite young characters. We have a small family setting out for an adventure, and then we have a horrible tragedy for the family. We have Dee Walace portraying our mother in the family now, and they actually seem rather odd now. Dee's performance is heartbreaking, and our antagonistic character appears to be falling apart in his own mind. This poor family is just riddled with tragedy, and a mysterious cycle of pain seems to follow them. The truth behind the tragedy is far worse than I could've even imagined, and things are unraveling in my mind over this story. For a story that was filled with Terror and Heartache, it has got a sweet and simple ending that makes you smile, or at least me smile.
