Critic Reviews for Sexual Tension: Violetas
This features a fairly unremarkable collection of six gay-themed short films that stretches from a young geeky guy infatuated with his very hunky tattooist through a visiting cousin causing some sexual tension and a shower-based feature that reminded me of a Christian Wilde video I saw years ago and... well you get the gist. Lots of lingering shower scenes, plenty of camerawork centred around the usually clad groin areas and, to be fair, an authentic mix of the good and not so good looking. The only stand-out one for me is the third film - which is actually quite entertaining. That features two friends who are helping to move one of them into a new apartment. The usual teasing conversations are going on about one of them never getting laid until he gets frustrated and demonstrates that much as he and his girlfriend love to have sex, he simply has difficulties getting a very large peg into an ordinary sized hole. Sightly embarrassed by his teasing, his friend decides to show him how his rather rough and tumble approach might not be the most effective (or romantic) and now proceeds to "train" him - in varying states of undress - how the couple might achieve their goal. That story raises a smile! Otherwise, the productions are all a bit basic and seen together the stories are all a little too soft-porn/voyeurist/fetishist for me. Still, the third one just about makes it all worth watching.
