Critic Reviews for Terence
This has the look of an observational documentary to it as we meet “Terence” (Terence Nzaji Egnie) going about his job as a security guard at a London shopping centre. He’s a kindly soul who always has a word of comfort or advice for those he sees day in day out, but as we follow him home we discover that he doesn’t have his troubles to seek there with his family. The film doesn’t dwell on the causes, nor really deliver much by way of anydetail - or very audible audio, that gives us much more than a slightly prurient glimpse into the man’s discomfort as he has to put on a smiley face for work whilst consternation grows underneath. It’s seems to have a plenty it wishes to say, but that’s a lot to try and pack into quarter of an hour, and at the end it felt a bit too incomplete to me.
