Menschliche Werbeflächen sozusagen. Die Filmfigur Abbie Rose ist solch eine Influenzerin und eigentlich kann sie von ihren regelmäßigen Videoposting auch ganz gut leben. Ihr geht es sogar so gut, dass sie ein ganzes Team unbezahlter Praktikantinnen beschäftigen kann um sie bei Ihrer Arbeit zu unterstützen. Doch plötzlich ändert sich alles. Einige maskierte Personen dringen in ihre Wohnung ein und zwingen Abbie dazu neue Videos nach den Vorgaben der Eindringlinge zu produzieren. Gleichzeitig werden an Abbies treuesten Follower Testpakete von Kosmetikprodukten der Firma Nutrocon verschickt, die eine andere Wirkung haben als versprochen wird. So entwickelt sich ein Thriller in einem Metier, welches bisher wenig bis gar nicht in Filmen stattgefunden hat. Der Thriller der aus diesem Konstrukt entsteht macht dabei wenig bis gar nichts neu, versetzt die klassische Home Invasion aber eben in ein Umfeld, was, wie geschrieben, bisher wenig filmische Beachtung gefunden hat. Doch obwohl der Film das Rad nicht neu erfindet, macht er Spaß. Gerade die Phase in der das reine Influenzer dasein im Mittelpunkt strotzt nur so von schwarzem Humor und auch wenn der Film ins Thrillergenre wechselt überzeugt er mit soliden Darstellern und einem guten Spannungsbogen, der am Ende zwar Überraschungen vermissen lässt, aber eben genau das macht, was ein Thriller soll.
