Critic Reviews for You Won't Be Alone
You Won’t Be Alone is a dark fairy tale littered with engrossing yet often grisly imagery that crescendos into a unique horror film with intriguing layers that unravel at a deliberate pace. The film is akin to a horror film taking the scenic route to gore and nudity as it’s much more interested in building exquisitely rich folklore with a refreshing payoff for anyone willing to be patient enough to let You Won’t Be Alone breathe like an elegant wine. Exceptional Folk Horror Tale... Unsure of which legend or folk tale this story represents, but it's quite intriguing so far and unlike anything before. Noomi Rapace's role is unparalleled in her performance in this film, unlike any other I've seen prior to this. The premise of the story is very different than I could have imagined in the way they've accomplished it, and it's a rather horrorific and juicy spectacle for the eyes. There is so much to learn from so many viewpoints and the constant feeling of how long you can make this one last. I had no idea that Alice Englert was in this film, and her role allowed her the most life yet experienced in the film.
